Sea Shutters, Inc. has not improved that concept, but we have improved the shutter. Using
fiberglass and other composite materials, we have created shutter systems that add grace and beauty without
any of the maintenance that is associated with traditional wooden or aluminum exterior shutters.NEW FOR 2010, we have introduced two product lines to meet the needs of a wider group of customers. Starting with our hurricane rated bahama shutter (FL12897) that provides the ultimate in protection by utilizing a sheet of polycarbonate on the back of our shutter keeping not only debris from entering your dwelling but the wind pressure as well. This product is perfectly suited for retrofitting a non-code home with minimal rated windows up to the current requirements. This shutter system not only provides strength, but also superior durability over aluminum products.Next, we wanted to make a more affordable product that was easier to install and fully functional. Our new decorative grade bahama and colonial style shutters still consist of our time proven fiberglass frame with our patent pending butt joints. It uses ABS louvers to provide a higher temperature rating before it will sag or bow than it's vinyl or pvc counterparts. This decorative product is still a custom made, two sided, custom painted, fully functional shutter with appropriate hardware which more importantly will last a lifetime.
